Sometimes, when I take some time to just sit still, it hits me how beautiful everything is. It's a silly realisation. Of course, the things have always been beautiful. And it's silly that I give myself things to do every part of the day. I don't allow myself to do nothing. Mostly it is nature that gives me the reminder. Trees, birds, the sun or the rain. And friends, love. Music.
This morning I sat in the sun on our roof. Eating my breakfast and watching the birds. I watched a pair of sparrows fly on and off to feed their babies. Watching them made me feel so peaceful and full of love.
Sometimes you see, hear or feel something that suddenly opens your heart up a bit. "Opening the heart" is not just a series of pretty words, it is something you can actually do, like walking and singing. I want to do some more heart-opening.
And a little picture of the abundance that is my garden in this time of year.

Living-space
I don't like to call environment 'environment' when talking about things like global warming and taking care of the earth. It doesn't sound like a life-sustaining thing, like the thing we eat, drink and walk on. It sounds as an extra. An extra chocolate after dinner, a hobby, maybe like tending a garden. A source of guilt even, when we do take a plastic bag from the grocery store.
I wish I could think of a better word, or maybe invent one. 'Home' or 'source' or 'living-space' ...

Birds sitting in front of a house in a forest
There are some crazy, short stories coming up. This is the first image of one of them. What will this be about, you think?
They are playing a game.

Speckled
I found a little surprise from the blackbird that lives in my garden.. A nest with four eggs! I took this picture two days after I found the nest, on top of my compost heap. I didn't want to go too near, but I saw at least one of the eggs had already hatched. Too bad I didn't get the tiny pink bird on the picture, but I didn't want to disturb too much.
